WHAT IS BIOREPEEL? ​ BioRePeel is an extremely effetive and pain free TCA (trichloroactic acid) peel. It is an innovate, biphasic, patented medical device with a biostimulating, revitalising and peeling action. The active ingredients contributes to a profound stimulation of skin replication and biosynthetic processes essential to counter to effects of skin ageing and oxidative damage induced by UV radiation and pollution. HOW DOES BIOREPEEL WORK? BioRePeel is broken down into 4 Functional Complexes. BIO (Bio stimulation), RE (Revitalisation), PEEL (Peel) LIPO (Lipo Complex) Bio stimulation This stimulates fibroblast activity. It also activates cutaneous proliferation which it achieves by using the amino acids: glycine, proline, hydroxyproline and vitamin C. Revitalisation This creates an anti-wrinkling effect. It will encourage the skin to look fresh, healthy and glow. This effect is caused by the ingredients; GABA and arginine (also known as vitamin B2). Peel BioRePeel removes outer cells of the stratum corneum by melting the corneocytes adhesion bonds. The outer cells of skin will be removed to reveal fresher, healthier and less congested skin. This is achieved by using the main ingredient: TCA (35% FND) together with lactobionic acid, salicylic acid, tartaric acid and citric acid. The Lipo Complex Comprises of Squalene and Isopropil mirastate which help to moisturise the skin. When the peel is removed this gives the skin a smooth velvet texture. Sqaulane is suitable to moisturise oily / acne prone skin. Isopropyl Myristate is a synthetic oil which acts as an emollient.
WILL MY SKIN PEEL? It is highly unlikely to cause excessive skin shedding and the downtime is very minimal. The most likely effect will be a small amount of shedding or some dry skin. However this will depend upon where you are in your skin cell cycle. Everybody’s skin reacts differently. Some people who maintain good skin care routines are likely to experience less shedding than those with poorer skin care routines.
CAN ANYONE HAVE BIOREPEEL? BioRePeel can safely be used on all Fitzpatrick skin types including black skin, unlike peels of old which previously could not be used on Fitzpatrick skin types five and six. BioRePeel should not be used under the following circumstances: During pregnancy or if breastfeeding If client has an aspirin allergy If client has dermatitis If client has any auto immune diseases If client has diabetes If client has any suspicious lesions or active skin cancers If client is taking roaccutane or retinoids We cannot treat active melanomas - any suspicious lesions should be checked by your GP or dermatologist - we do not want to encourage increased blood supply to an active cancer. Retinoids Retinoids are a derivative of vitamin A. If the client uses roaccutane, the usage must be stopped 6 months prior to the application of BioRePeel. Retinoids will need to be stopped at least 14 days prior to treatment. BioRePeel is not suitable for those under 18 years old.
HOW IS BIOREPEEL BETTER THAN THE TRADITIONAL CHEMICAL PEELS? Advantages Over Other Peels BioRePeel is extremely safe and effective. It has proven results and holds many advantages over other peels on the market today, such as: No needles needed No frosting No pain Fast acting Immediate results No post treatment scars No oxidation/darkening Suitable for the whole body Can be used during every season No photosensitvity Can be used for all Fitzpatrick skin types Contains no ammonia TCA Peels of old The use of traditional TCA peels would involve two weeks of preparation, prior to treatment, where it would be necessary to strip the skin of any surface oils with an aggressive preparatory lotion. The TCA peel would also need to be applied in a specific way, usually with three passes over the skin. By which time the client would probably start to feel rather hot and would need to be cooled down. Once frosting had appeared, a neutraliser would need to be applied which would usually result in a very messy procedure. Post-treatment, the client's skin would appear sunburnt and be very sore. It would usually be necessary to apply more lotions to ensure the skin was cooled and the client felt more comfortable. After a few days, skin would be peeling and falling off! This downtime is hard to manage with the bubsy schedules of today. However, with BioRePeel, even with this level of penetration for both face and body, the peel is extremely well tolerated due to its biphasic technology and offers minimal to no downtime at all! Also this treatment is not painful at all. Most clients report a slight tingle, on a scale of 1 - 10, most clients would report it to be around 2/3.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE A BIOREPEEL? Recommended Treatment Course Every 7-10 days for 4 - 6 sessions, depending on the indication or assessment of the treatment area. After the initial sessions, for best results you should repeaat the course after 3 months for an additional 4 to 6 sessions.
